Undergraduate Researcher | UC Merced
Hi! I'm Axel, an undergraduate researcher at the University of California, Merced, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics with an emphasis in Computational and Data Sciences. Expected graduation: Fall 2026.
My research interests lie at the intersection of machine learning, dynamical systems, control theory, and numerical analysis, with a focus on numerical linear algebra. I'm passionate about using machine learning and control theory to address challenges in autonomous vehicles, specifically researching how ill-conditioned matrices affect system robustness and safety in adaptive cruise control systems.
Research Focus: Machine Learning • Control Theory • Autonomous Vehicles • Numerical Linear Algebra • Data Science
Recognition: NIH U-RISE Fellowship (2024)
